Description: Pedestrian skybridge over NE 8th in Bellevue with GLY. 280' long, 12' tall, 20' wide with radius, weighing 300,000lbs. Less than 1' of clearance from existing buildings to get bridge in place.

Description: Erection of steel girders over I-5 in Everett WA.

Million Dollar Bridge ( image )

Description: With Mowat in Cordova, Alaska, Apex repaired a bridge damaged by the 1964 earthquake.

West Galer Street Flyover (image)

Description: Reinforcing and Structural Steel for overpass in Seattle.

NE 8th Street Interchange (image)

Description: Erection of 33 steel girders in six night shifts from 11 pm to 5am.

Green River Bridge (image)
General Contractor: Mowat Construction
Description: Four pairs of 210 foot long, 8 feet deep girders with a 4 foot radius, 2% slope, and a 12 inch camber weighing 325,000 lbs. Each pair was prefabricated by Apex and set in one day using a 850 ton Transilift. Apex performed the structural and reinforcing work.

Description: 10' diameter shafts.

Machias Bridge (image)

Description: 260-foot long truss bridge that is also 50 feet wide and 45 feet tall, all galvanized erected over Machias River. Apex Steel completed all of the structural steel and the reinforcing steel.

Harborview Medical Center IEB (image)

Description: 2 stories of steel on top of a new 10 story concrete building. 2 super trusses spanning over 9th Ave. from the top of a new building to the top of the existing building with 9 floors hanging off the bottom trusses. All floors prefabricated on temporary bridge. An air hoist was used to place each level starting from the top down.

Description: Erection of 50 tons of structural steel for a house frame on top of a mountain. A log truck was used to deliver the steel.

Description: Erection of 800 tons of structural steel with perimeter columns designed to be 8 feet out of plumb.

St. Joseph’s Hospital (image one, image two, image three)

Description: Erected 1300 tons of structural steel including 30 ton trusses which were erected during a weekend shutdown using an Apex designed cable support system.

Description: Erection of 700 tons of Structural Steel for a six-story building.

Description: Erection of a four story building set between two existing buildings. Pre-fabricated 6 brace frames, used a crane with jib to fly steel over existing three story building, and set all the brace frames in less than one day.

Description: 29 story Structural Steel Building in Bellevue, WA with GLY Construction. Erection performed above five stories of occupied space. Apex also erected a unique tower crane base designed by Morrow Crane.

Description: New TSA baggage handling facility at SeaTac Airport for Turner Construction. Apex did supply and erect of all Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metals. Apex also performed the erection of the tower crane. Total contract value of approx. $6 milion.
